Tell me how any born in child has any choice before they turn 18!
It's simple you cant. So you basically are FORCED to give up 1/5 of you're life . Some of the best years I might add for a bunch of fucktards in New York!
former governing body assistant howie tran has shared his bethel vow of poverty contract.
it reads rather culty.
i think clause number 9 is particularly worrying...to adhere to, not the bible alone, but also the watchtower literature and the governing body.

my husband was baptized at the recent 2018 convention in south africa ....... he was very annoyed that his non-believing wife did not attend the baptism....... but i think he received pressure from his jw father & elders as to why his wife was not attending ....... anyway ..... it's really water off my back .
i wanted to know what privileges you get as a baptized jw man , as i saw a message from one of the elders at his cong , congratulating him on his baptism and to earning more privileges ..... what are these privileges the elder is speaking about ,,,,, .
i don't feel like asking my husband as it just lands up in a stupid fight ..... or a long winded explanation ..... thanks .
I think of baptism as more of a death sentence than a privilege.

Doubters back I see.
If you are raised in this religion you are forced down a one way street. You can either be a jw or lose you're family friends and all structure you've ever known!
That is a ridiculous choice that I cant believe any loving God would impose. Blood transfusion ,education , there's really not much choice any child has of their own free will to make before legal age. The fact that college is taken away from people based on religious leaders that the parents have never met is insane!
If you're happy in the cult good for you. But people like myself would rather decide what we want in life than have it decided for us by men we've never met.
i personally have a very distinct sense of style and fashion which many of the fellow jdubs frown upon.
recently, i was told by a few specially self righteous ones that i looked like a prostitute in a pair of white boots!
a pair of 3 inch heeled, just a little taller than the ankle boots, with skirt that came down to my knees and a black long sleeve shirt that came up to my collarbone.
I once got counciled for wearing a denim shirt in field service. I thought that to be petty!
let the speculation begin!.
No money to produce it. They are waiting on donations.
Maybe they should try opening a GoFundMe account!
ok i'm ready for the transition.
i am not writing anything to anyone or writing some dumb letter.
the calls and visits trying to get me to come back will soon follow, the family guilt trips will intensify, loss of friends- really more like cult member associates, how the hell am i supposed to do this?
I basically just moved and said I'm not going anymore this is the reason. I brought up ARC and the concealment of pedos. Basically that I find it extremely crooked that not a single GB member has any ethics to stand up and admit wrongdoing! In addition they won't even say that they have had to take donations and pay these lawsuits.
After a couple discussions I haven't heard back. Haven't been dfed yet either. I don't think they will come after me unless I start reaching out to tell all. But my concern is family. I only have 4 left in and I think if I reach 1 it could be the dominoes effect. If I get my extended family out it's game on WT!
.
just came across this info from 1946 yearbook.
it would be fascinating to have the same information on members at this year's annual meeting.
Didn't CT Russell say somewhere that a man changed his skin from Black to white through prayer?
I guess most of the colored brothers and sisters just weren't very spiritual back then!
so, i am trying to get my head around what the right position of elders should be when they come across crime is.. i think i get the issuess around clergy confidentiality - and how that might potentially be breached when they talk about it to other elders, let alone the police.. but if people are saying that elders - or clergy of another faith should report crime to the police when it is confessed to the, then where are the boundaries.. so if someone says they should report to police on a confessed example of child abuse, that's one thing.. how about reporting to police consensual sex between a 19year old and 15 year old - which is statutory rape in the uk.
how about criminal fraud if they come across it.
assault on a congregant?.
Abused and pissed. It's not just about whether they should or shouldn't report. The other problem is they tried to prevent it from being reported by having the elders tell victims and their parents NOT to report.
This is the bigger of the crimes.imho
i would like as many people that can, to respond to this appeal as i am sure their are many examples out their that may help lurkers and fence sitters to make a decision on where they stand regarding the "truth".
i look forward to your comments either negative or plus..
Stephane , it's also dishonest
I often wondered why the expenses were so high at the conventions when an assembly hall was built by us .
When I sell my house and have a profit I invest the profit into the next house.
They do not they take the profit and all expenses for the new building are put back on the congregations or circuits. I always thought they took the money and spent it toward the new kh or assembly hall.
It is extremely dishonest the way it works!

Any elders around for the monthly marking talk?
